The extension interface is available in seven languages, fully translated. There is nothing to configure.
Supported Languages
- English
- Dutch (Nederlands)
- German (Deutsch)
- French (Français)
- Spanish (Español)
- Italian (Italiano)
- Portuguese, Brazil (Português do Brasil)
Every interface string is translated in every one of them. The handful of values that read the same in all seven are proper nouns that should not be translated: country names, and tool names like Ahrefs, Semrush and Majestic.
How the Language Is Chosen
The extension follows your browser’s display language, not your operating system’s and not the language of the page you are on. There is no language picker inside the extension, by design: your browser already knows what language you work in.
To change it, change your browser’s language:
- Chrome and Edge: Settings → Languages, then move your preferred language to the top and restart the browser.
- Firefox: Settings → General → Language, set the language you want Firefox to display in.
What Is Not Translated
- Data from the pages you audit. Titles, meta descriptions, headings, anchor text and schema come from the page and are shown as-is.
- Third-party tool names and their destinations. Opening Ahrefs or Semrush takes you to their interface in whatever language your account uses.
- AI answers and citations. Captured ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overview content is shown in the language the model answered in.
- This documentation, which is English only.
Tips & Troubleshooting
- Interface still in English after changing the browser language? Restart the browser. Extensions read the language at load.
- Seeing a mix of languages? That is expected when auditing a page written in another language. The interface is translated, the page data is not.
- Want a language that isn’t here? Send it to support. Adding a locale is straightforward once there is demand for it.
